Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of Holt County Criminal History. By continuing to use the resource, you accept them. Anyone who does not agree should stop using it.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated resource is independent of government and is not a consumer reporting agency. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act screening. Its purpose is to route readers to Holt County and Nebraska record sources.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent reference resource with no government affiliation. It does not store official criminal records, perform official checks, retrieve documents, or file requests.

Its content identifies offices that hold Holt County records, including the sheriff, County Court, District Court, Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, and Nebraska Sex Offender Registry, and it may connect visitors to outside tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Visitors agree not to:

  • Use the resource in violation of federal, Nebraska, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass another person
  • Use information for a credit, employment, insurance, housing, or other regulated decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools
  • Disrupt performance or interfere with another visitor’s access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information reached here may not be used to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, discriminate, or engage in vigilantism. Nebraska Sex Offender Registry data exists for public awareness and constructive safety planning. Retaliation, threats, and vandalism can be crimes.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We create no consumer reports, credit reports, or background-check products and are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Visitors must not use this resource or a linked tool to:

  • Make a hiring or termination choice
  • Assess a rental or housing application
  • Set insurance eligibility or premiums
  • Evaluate creditworthiness
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit

A regulated purpose requires an authorized official channel or an FCRA-compliant provider selected independently of this resource.

5. No Legal Advice

General explanations about Holt County records do not create legal advice. A licensed Nebraska lawyer should address how a charge, conviction, warrant, dissemination limit, or set-aside rule affects a specific person.

6. No Warranties

All material and functions are offered “as is.” We make no promise that:

  • Content or outside results will always be complete, correct, or current
  • Every page or service will remain continuously available
  • The resource will be free from bugs, mistakes, or security weaknesses
  • A partner search will find every relevant record or match the right person

Criminal records change as cases are filed, resolved, restricted, and corrected. Confirm important information with the originating court, sheriff, police department, registry, or Nebraska State Patrol.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to government offices, courts, agencies, legal resources, or outside search providers. We do not control their content, availability, prices, security, or privacy practices. The destination’s own terms apply after a visitor leaves.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless another owner is identified, the site’s text, graphics, logo, and code belong to Holt County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, adapting, distributing, or republishing them requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nebraska law, we are not responsible for loss or damage arising from use of this resource, reliance on its content, or interaction with a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to protect and hold us harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, and related costs arising from that visitor’s use or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Nebraska law governs these terms. Any dispute related to use of the resource must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Nebraska.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised conditions become effective when posted here. Continued use after posting means the visitor accepts the current version.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time and without advance notice, including when use threatens the resource, another person, or these conditions.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited only as necessary. Every remaining provision continues in effect.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
