Why We Built This Site
Nebraska law supports public access to many records, but access is not the same as one combined database. Holt County Sheriff handles county arrest, booking, jail, and warrant questions. The two court clerks preserve the charge and disposition files. The Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division operates the statewide criminal-history repository, while corrections and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry answer separate custody and registration questions. We bring those routes together with their limits and the practical details needed to choose among them.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: ways to search and read Holt County criminal court cases
- Official check instructions: how Nebraska State Patrol name checks and authorized fingerprint services differ
- Agency contacts: verified sheriff, court, repository, corrections, and registry channels
- Record-relief information: Nebraska set-aside and public-dissemination rules, with the proper court route
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, independent of every Nebraska court, police department, sheriff, and state agency. Those limits mean:
- We cannot retrieve an official record or perform an official background check
- We cannot submit a public-record request or set-aside petition for a reader
- We cannot certify a court file, booking record, registry entry, or RAP sheet
- We cannot give legal advice about a charge, warrant, disposition, or relief request
- We cannot guarantee that an agency’s fee, hour, address, or process has not changed
An official document must come from its custodian, such as the sheriff, the appropriate court clerk, or the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their services, prices, data practices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce referral revenue that supports this resource. We do not decide what the provider charges, and we do not control or certify its results.
